Re: Official thread and signing news

I think he's got the chance to peak as the best centre in the comp. His development over the back end of last season was nothing short of incredible.

Re: Round 2 - Sharks vs Storm

That was an awful half of footy outside our left side defense putting on a defensive clinic.

Re: Round 2 - Sharks vs Storm

If I remember correctly that game also had the awful tackled into touch as the ref called held call twice going against us. Both were the wrong calls.

Re: Official thread and signing news

Walters isn't a dummy half and is probably not a first grader either. He was awful the other night. Threw some of the worst passes you will ever see.

Re: Round 1 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

Our non Smith last tackle options has been the mid field bomb the last couple of seasons. I’m not sure on the tactic.

Re: Official thread and signing news

But is that actually the case? Who have we lost that we otherwise would have kept if we had Smith's cap money laying around? Doesn't matter how you feel about them but letting Croft, Drinkwater, Scott, and to a lesser extent Tino go in the last 12 months isn't a good look. I don't blame Smith's con...

Re: Official thread and signing news

Yea, I dunno. Having Smith retire seems like an easy fix to the problems we've had the last two seasons of having cap trouble and losing young players. Brandon is the NZ hooker and would walk onto a good majority of teams and Grant wouldn't be too far behind that either. I wouldn't kick Cameron out ...

Re: Main sponsor / new jersey

I wish we found the right amount of purple and the navy blue. The nines jerseys had too much purple while previous home jersey's had too much navy. Don't mind these ones but will need to see them on field to really know.

Re: Half Back for 2020

I'm so certain something happened before the 2018 season with Croft and Smith which killed Croft's confidence and things were likely to never work here. But also he was really really bad and didn't exactly show he belonged in first grade.

Re: Trial Games 2020

I don't know if we can have Suli and Brenko defend next to each other. Seve is probably the safer option but will need to offer a lot more than he did last season.

Re: Official thread and signing news

I think it is more that the swap deal had him sure he was going to be playing NRL this year... and when the NRL pulled that rug out from under him, he wasn’t keen to give up that dream when it was almost there. I want some more detail on why the deal was blocked. It was a swap deal so neither club ...

Re: Official thread and signing news

Not really surprised this is happening. But also what was he expecting after literally re-signing a couple of months ago? Did we promise something that we've now turned back on?

Re: Round 1 Predicted Lineups

Hynes too small for a centre gig, yea?

We're going to have everyone play the utility off the bench role but Grant aren't we lol?

Re: Round 1 Predicted Lineups

Yea, I hope the Titans aren't expecting Tino to be Fifita or Haas. Still a ways away from that. Not sure if he's good enough to make our bench yet.

Re: Trial Games 2020

Crazy that Brandon is too good of a ball runner for him to stay at hooker for us long term.
