Re: Round 3 v Warriors

Will definately be our toughest game yet. If we dont have anywhere near the same amount of possesion and in the right areas we will be spanked. I think the Warriors game against the Broncs last week will work in our favour. Warriors always lift for Brisbane so it will be harder for them to reach the...

Re: Round 2 V Raiders

Without Weyman, Costigan and TLL (along with Tilse they need all four firing every week for them to have a good year) in their side the Raiders pack goes from a VERY talented pack to a VERY average one. Because of that the Storm will win quite easily tonight. STORM 38 RAIDERS 10 Inlgis - FTS Inglis ...

Re: Could Friday night be a sellout?

I can't see us getting more then 9k to the Warriors game. No one will wanna go to a game that starts at Midday. I would rather play Monday night then midday Sunday Why not?  I've got no dramas about going to a midday game.  Nice Sunny day, warm weather, beer after the game - no dramas. I can't see ...

Re: Round 1: Storm v Tigers

One of those nights where the result says more about the team then the performance. We might not have made a statement offensively but we certainly did with our defence. Positives - Defence was strong for most of the match. Special mention to DJ and the Hoff. - The debut of Israel (Matt Geyer does n...

Introducing your Central Coast Storm

Lost in the excitement of the opening NRL round has been the fact that our new feeder team debuts this weekend in the Jersey Flegg comp. Of course they are coached by former Storm player Jamie Feeney so Id like to be the first to wish the boys good luck this weekend on what we hope is the start of s...

Re: who is captain this year?

We used the rotation policy last year because Craig didnt think anyone (Cameron) was ready for the role. Since we are using it again I think we can assume that Craig still doesnt think Cam is ready for it, and if I was Cam I'd keep my eye on Cooper because if it was up to me Cooper would be the capt...

Re: Round 1: Storm v Tigers

And another thing I noticed...Matt King has been moved to Geyer's wing, no doubt evening up the height differential.  I thought he (Bellamy) may do this, but wasn't sure if it messes too many players around. But it's a good move IMO, as we now have Geyer/King and Falou/Quinn on each side in what sh...

Re: I'd like to see this squad versus the Tits

Valid points though I dont see where I said running should be Coops first priority, however when your as quick as Cooper is you must run every-now and again. Last year I felt he was a bit conservative (understandably so) and was content to pass when there was the option to run. All the great half-ba...

Re: I'd like to see this squad versus the Tits

Good to see G. Crossman in the starting line-up. Hopefully he gets back to the form of early last year where he was easily our best forward. Other Things Im looking forward to: - seeing (hearing) how Russell Aitken goes when given a chance at 5/8 - The passing and kicking game of GI. Not worried abo...

Re: News -Inglis goes to five-eighth

Im still waiting for the punch-line. If Greg is the full-time 5/8 this year I'll go he. I dont see the quote by the coach saying Inglis will be the 5/8 (unlike last year with Cooper), I see Dean Lance saying they want to get him closer to the action, which could only mean him and Aitken (?) swapppin...

Re: NRL backs Turner deal

What they said. Let Turner go, he's not Greg Inglis or even Israel Folau, we have Anthony Quinn (who will blossom under Bellamy) and the wraps on Samau and Proctor in particular are good.

Re: NRL backs Turner deal

This has been going on for too long. If it goes on for much longer I reckon Bellamy will say enough’s enough, Steve we’d love to keep you but it’s becoming to much of a distraction for the team.

My review of our forward pack.

Antonio Kaufusi – Made the step from  promising talent to genuine rep-class first grader, has the potential to be a star though. I’d like to see him try to run through the defensive line harder, looks to drop to his knees to often. Ben Cross – Had a great first game for us but was only solid  after ...

Well done on a great year.

Even though its disappointing we lost I'd like to congratulate the Strom on the great season they had. To see the great crop of young players develop this year has been a pleasure and Im sure we're all excited about what the next few seasons hold for them and us Strom fans. P.S. If you have a spare ...

Re: The Grand Final 2006 - Melbourne Storm Vs Brisbane Broncos

On the drink already this will be my only post before I slide into the abyss.

If the Storm are on there game (which we will be) we will win.

Greg Inglis to make the ridiculous talk about him being the G.O.A.T one day not seem so ridiculous.
