Re: Storm v Dragons

P.D, when you spoke to Surandy near the stage at the after match do, you should of look behind you, I would of said hello to you mate. Sorry mate  :o  Thought I'd managed to catch up with the few regulars that did come across. I think a lot saw the asian do next door & mistook it for the social...

Re: Storm v Dragons

As for the reffing, I was once again yelling and swearing at my TV for the numerous forward passes (the majority of which were coming from the Dragons) - it seemed the Dragons only got into attacking territory if they got away with a forward pass or two in the lead up. But we won, and a win against...

Re: Scott Hill droped to PL

Against the Knights, without Johns, plus back at home and we still have a really strong lineup even without Hill and Slater!! Hill wasnt the reason we lost or the reason we're winning. If he plays like we know he can he's our best player. Against the Knights even with Johns - That team would have w...

Re: Advertising campaign starts tonight

The object of an AD is to make the product stick in peoples minds The current Storm ads seem to acheive that. Whether it will stir people enough to come to games to "see what all the fuss is about" remains to be seen. When someone asks me about the ads I say "COME & SEE FOR YOUR S...

Re: wok's view of the storm

Anybody watch a replay of the Knights game ? My brother did when he got home & said that a lot of our defensive strength was down to Cronk calling the shots.
Not bad for a "relative novice to the halfback trade"
God help the other teams when he finishes the apprenticeship  ;)

Re: Scott Hill droped to PL

Weird.  Kaufusi comes back from suspension after playing OK and displaces Blair, who was playing pretty good and Hill comes back from suspension after playing OK and gets a trip up the Hume. hmmm.... ??? Let me see................. Bad completion rates - no team cohesion - lots of fumbles Thumped b...

We should not got with North Sydney at all.
Given that the North Sydney Bears 'stated aim' is to have 'their OWN NRL side' Storm would have to be STUPID to commit all their young players to the NSW comp.

Re: Storm strike new deal

Would be interesting to see where our jersey now sits value wise out of all the codes. It would be good to see us back near the top again. I don't think the current sponsorship sales team have nailed a large single sponsor, plus a collection of heavy to medium sponsors for the jersey ? I think that ...

Re: I'll betcha PD is heartbroken....

Tipped but not appointed! Surprise choice was Brian Noble. One surprise was that Wigan asked him. Second surprise was that Bradford seemed to encourage Noble to talk to Wigan. Third surprise was that he accepted. Fourth surprise - Wigan went to Huddersfield and thrashed them on Noble's first match ...

Re: Crowd.

Christ we need a decent stadium. A 'decent stadium' in Adelaide only dragged in a small crowd  :P Sadly people are STILL not getting the message in Melbourne that it's an exciting bloody game  :? They see a game like Saturday's on TV,(maybe as a replay) & they have moronic supposed 'expert comm...

Re: Super Cronk

Cronk was always going to step up and losing Orford was no big deal in my books. What does worry me is how he will go with Hill once he is back. IMO, Hill is not a dominate player but he dominates over some players and Cronk is someone who needs to be given a bit of free reign to develop. Having Ge...

I sent sms's??? ROFLMAO !! You 'seemed' coherent after the game ? Well you were standing upright  A rectangle stadium if defo more exciting, even if 'front row seats' get a tad cramped against the fence. http://premium1.uploadit.org/taliesin//stormspeccie.gif Sunday morning - sore throat, not m...

Ummm....back to the poll thing, If Storm is the 2nd most popular team in the Nrl I wonder who would be the most unpopular? New Zealand Warriors http://www.roymorgan.com/news/press-releases/2006/476/ After browsing through the % results at the bottom you have to wonder......... A: How big was that q...

Re: Round 6: Storm v Panthers, Adelaide

I'm sitting Eastern side on 50 metre line second row. So..........What does your ticket say ? We're in East 4 row A How the hell do you know where you're sitting? The only thing my email from Venue*Shits says is BLU8 for the section! The mini map on the soccer site lists the East & West stands ...
