Congrats To Steve Waugh

I was most annoyed with Sachin. I think considering the state of the game, it just would have been plain nice to "drop" the catch, and let Steve get his 100. I am so not impressed with the Indians. They're driving me nuts - and it's their behaviour off the field that's doing it to me most!...

return of the king

I don't think I've seen a photo of it yet - but he's done the opposite of bulking up, and cut the hair! Maybe it was the boofy hairstyle that was making his body look small. Cut the hair and make the body look bigger! I've been very impressed with his abilities and performances to date! Go the King ...

Happy 2004 Everyone

I think the Marcus Bai Stand will be called that in perpetuity. It's an honour befitting the man! Hopefully when we return to Storm League on the 15th, Gosch's Paddock will be nice and green - I think the ground works are complete now! Hopefully anyways! Hope you had a good New Years too Billy-Bob -...

That's right Billy-Bob - we're in the xmas / new years break now. We recommence on Thursday the 15th of January with proper games.

Hope to see you then!

Storm League TONIGHT!

Yes - Rick's rebel team is made up of cronies from his Camberwell High days I think... evil that they are (and all young and fit) we still beat them! :)

Possible Upgrade to Olympic Park

Re: Super 12's - they currently have between 5 and 6 home games each season with the season running from February to May. I read somewhere the difference between league and union (competition - not sport) is they have strengths where the other has weaknesses. For instance - League has a very strong ...

Storm League TONIGHT!

Wow - I just noticed that the image link I gave is actually updating! It's now showing the current weather radar image! How cool! It appears that some were frightened off by the rain tonight - only just got the minimum 16 to play (8 a side). We played the majority of the game in brilliant sunshine. ...

Storm League TONIGHT!

Much better in the cooler conditions certainly!

It is a non-contact sport... just every now and then, Rabble and I decide to non-contact each other head on! :)

For those interested - below is a current radar image of rainfall in Melbourne:

Storm League TONIGHT!

Tonight is our second "Come and Try" night. If you've ever had a desire to find out what Storm League is - and maybe even take the field - tonight is the night! Play starts at 6pm on Gosh's Paddock (cnr Swan and Punt Rds - or the cricket oval next to the paddock), and is open for everyone ...

Storm League - Come and Try!

Tonight we had our first of two Come and Try nights. Over 30 people turned up and hopefully enjoyed some time running around the field learning the basics of Storm League. Due to unforseen drainage works on Gosh's Paddock (they weren't there 2 weeks ago!), we had to move the game 20 metres away on t...

WARREN RYAN'S Final System explored.

My concern with this system is the possible repeat of games in weeks 1 and 3.

My preferred option is still the current AFL system. Although having 3 games in week 2 would be nice.

Since this is a MELBOURNE Storm forum....

I assume Thunderstruck that's a no to both! :) I'm a died-in-the-wool Carlton man - which means we're almost the Kangaroos! Pagan, Corker (gone) Digby Morrel and more... it's like the team has been transported to us! I'm looking forward to a big year for Carlton (maybe even top 10!!). Luckily for me...
