Re: Official thread and signing news

Apparently we have agreed to terms with Justin Olam for a two year extension. Well deserved. JO has developed nicely and is now a solid threat with the ball in hand, and without. Really proud to see him get to this point. Like the rest of the young guys though, some regular games would be ideal to c...

Re: Crowd Lockouts

Well, with the game shut down indefinitely, I wonder what the true financial implications for the club are and whether it puts at risk our survival (in current form). I think the NRL would always have to have a Melbourne team - it would pay for itself and then some in TV rights money... but whether ...

Re: Round 3 - Storm vs Panthers

Seems we didn’t make it :(

It will certainly suck to not have the footy on each weekend, but there wasn’t really a choice. Sh*t times...

Re: Round 3 - Storm vs Panthers

The Warriors made the commitment to relocate and keep the league alive. I don’t see all Sydney clubs making that commitment. Speaking of which... Damien Cook is happy to relocate to Gladstone. But only for two weeks https://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/nrl-2020-damien-cook-coronavirus-gladstone-south-...

Round 3 - Storm vs Panthers

Saturday 28th March
5:30pm Kick-off

Are we even going to make it to Round 3?

Re: Round 2 - Sharks vs Storm

NAS off the bench has always been super effective but he earned a starting spot. As much as he wouldn’t like starting from the pine each week, it probably works best for the team overall. Tui has come on leaps and bounds. Killing it in 2020 so far. Will the smaller outside backs be an issue once aga...

Re: Round 2 - Sharks vs Storm

Just painful all round. Completions were atrocious in the first half but only slightly better in the second half. Our attack is still well underdone. Of course Klown had to penalise Smithy for dissent  On the positive side, we have only conceded a single try in two games and it was by a kick. ...

Re: Round 2 - Sharks vs Storm

It felt like we just wanted to practice our goal line defence. Every time we shut them out, we handed it straight back to them.

Sharks have been (not surprisingly) filthy in the ruck. Woods had about 5 face rakes in the first 3 minutes.

Re: Round 2 - Sharks vs Storm

Remember a match years ago v Newcastle, where he made three refereeing errors in last 2 or 3 minutes to help Newcastle score two tries to win and cost us a double chance. I remember that. Two tries in the last two minutes. Waddell was standing way offside at marker, then stripped Slater of the ball...

Re: Round 2 - Sharks vs Storm

Good on Ready for writing that article. I despise every single game we play under Klein. There is a mountain of evidence, over a LONG period of time to show that he exhibits bias against us. Why do the NRL continue to assign him Storm games?

Jack Howarth just doing his thing. https://www.qrl.com.au/news/2020/03/17/player-to-bank-on---jack-howarth/ How good is his footwork and overall agility? Looks an outstanding prospect. Re: The Annual "Wrestling" Media Attack on the Storm

This is interesting, to me. I can "meet all the requirements within my contract" but if I get stood down due to no work (potentially imminent) I won't get paid. Do and should the players get paid? I'm in the same boat. In my world, IT contract arrangements usually have termination for convenience c...
