Re: Round 3 - Melbourne STORM v Canterbury Bankstown BULLDOG
Fraud of a record margin grand final winning coach? That really does not compute your just trying to make your coach seem decent I think we got a glimpse of Bellamy sans-Smith a few times, once in the 2008 grand final and the other time when Bellamy was pretending to coach NSW You mean against a tea...

Finch hopefully a big part of that. He alone gives us some options to play with.Blotto wrote:They need to keep this momentum going again before the Origin games kick in, but I think Bellyache will have learned from last year to have a better Plan B!

Re: round 2 vs qld cowboys
Ryles was great and his set up of Cronk's first try was excellent. Ryles has to be careful. There was about half a dozen times he could have been pinged for a penalty. He's lucky to have only conceded one last night. He just spends too long on the tackled player and has me screaming at the TV for h...

Re: round 2 vs qld cowboys
I've gotta say, both jerseys look much better than I thought they would after seeing the dodgy mock ups a couple of months back.
The Crown logo blends perfectly with the home jersey. The sleeves on the home jersey don't flow that well but overall I think they're pretty good

Re: INJURY UPDATE
With big Tohu playing out of his skin, where does that leave our line-up when Proctor is fit? Harris from the bench?

Re: round 2 vs qld cowboys
Even more amazing was this stat mentioned during the game...
"Since Craig Bellamy has being coach @ Melbourne Storm in 2003 the Storm have won 154 from 158 when leading at half time."
Notch up another one! That is an unbelievable stat!

Re: round 2 vs qld cowboys
Great win and to be honest, a little unexpected for me. I thought with; 1. The trip to the UK. 2. All of the travel over the past few weeks. 3. The total changes in climate. 4. The limited training sessions this week. 5. Cowboys playing so well last week. 6. Thurston and Tamou re-signing. 7. Being i...

Re: Shoulder charge
On the shoulder charge non call. It was interesting, clearly Sandow went in for with intention of some kind of shoulder charge. But if you look closely he still wrapped his left arm around the player meaning it was still a legal tackle. Odd technique but he got away with it. Yeah I noticed that als...

Waqa must have done a great job on that cut to be out of action for about 10 weeks. That is ridiculous.

Can't help but be a little disappointed with the crowd figure. Was hoping we'd crack the 20K mark.

Re: Round 1 vs St George/Illawarra Dragons
Fantastic first up game in my opinion. Not absolutely clinical but the signs were very, very good. I'm LOVING some of the new structures in attack and some of the set plays even though they didn't all pan out. The variations on the outside-inside Cronk-Slater were particularly special. Teams all yea...
