Re: 2020 Grand Final - Panthers vs Storm

I'm not sure this helps comfort the nerves of anyone here.

But it's really important to note the last time the Storm played these guys they didn't have Josh Addo-Carr or Jahrome Hughes playing.

I'd say those two guys have been two of Melbourne's best the past two weeks or so if not all season.

Re: Preliminary Final - Storm vs Raiders

No one's been charged after last night's game.

Also, if the Panthers make it through that means the Storm's finals run will be against the only three teams to have beaten them all year.

Anyone else find that really weird?

Re: Preliminary Final - Storm vs Raiders

It seemed pretty obvious from the get-go that the message from Bellamy was about starting well.

That was a wonderful, wonderful performance. What a club. Smith making that tackle on Cotric summed the team's resolve tonight.

Re: Preliminary Final - Storm vs Raiders

I don't always agree with the previews, but I agree with this one - this game is going to be won up front. I mean most games are, but this one in particular. Our key to stopping the Raiders, is stopping Papalii and Tapine. Between them they had 12 Tackle Breaks and Papalii's sneaky offload caused t...

Re: Preliminary Final - Storm vs Raiders

Dale Finucane today said he's in with a chance to play and got through some contact training.

Pretty promising after Frank Ponissi last week said he was only a slim chance due to a setback in his recovery. He'd be a huge in.

Re: Finals Week 1

Article from Sporting News Australia pushing for a Cameron Smith suspension for "lifting" tackle on Dylan Brown. Of course the NSW morons (sorry Rugby League fans) are lapping it up. Not sure it helps but that's not actually a real person (the byline I mean). It's a pseudonym. Try to ignore it. Pre...

Re: Finals Week 1

Honestly, just hold onto the damn ball.

The guys have put together five line breaks. Just cut to that left and get someone to back up on the inside.

Re: Round 20 - Dragons vs Storm

Have the Rabbits done the competition a favour by smashing the Roosters last night? History is a very tough opponent and no team has ever had 50 put on them and gone on to win the flag. If any team can come back from that though and turn it around - it's surely them. That being said you have to ask...

Re: Official thread and signing news

This is most unfortunate... Dave wouldn't have put in an application if he didn't want the job. I wonder why he wants to leave? Money/a chance to achieve success elsewhere/bolster the resume? Maybe he has found "isolating" in QLD to his liking? Dave is originally from Queensland and previously work...

Re: Round 20 - Dragons vs Storm

The club's in a pretty good position here. It'll be interesting to see how the Roosters approach their game because I feel the Rabbitohs will want to throw a fair bit at them given they have more to lose. The Roosters can lose and remain in the top four and Robinson's shown a tendency for resting hi...

My biggest concern is we will have to face Easts now Week 1.
Honestly, I think the Storm will beat them. They’re a good side no doubt but if the full strength forward pack is out there they’ll take the Roosters down.

Re: Round 18 - Storm vs Cowboys

Bit of a weird one but definitely felt like the guys were a bit complacent. Loved Olam's attitude in both defence and attack. Looks like Lee got hooked for issues on the right side with Hynes playing centre, Jacks playing five-eighth and Munster moving back to fullback. At least if Lee (or Vunivalu ...

Re: Round 17 - Souths v Storm

That was a colossal effort - that being said if the Storm lost I felt it would have been due to the number of forwards missing as the Rabbitohs’ pack was awesome. But to win like that - considering the lack of possession in the second-half, the difficult conditions and the strength of opposition was...

Re: Round 16 - Storm vs Sea Eagles

If Nelson Asofa-Solomona is out next week does Chris Lewis move into lock? Couldn’t figure out who was covering him when he came off but it looked like Lewis was playing second-row.
