Re: Storm Vs Eels Commbank stadium
Feeling the Storm might just edge this one. The Eels have been really effective at coffin kicking our guys to death but I’m a fan of the two wingers and their ability in the air. Have to hope the weather holds up though (bit overcast and damp in Sydney today) because with Welch and NAS starting I th...

Re: Storm Vs Eels Commbank stadium
I doubt Sims plays without the match fitness. Best guess is the team looks somewhat like this: Nick Meaney, Will Warbrick, Reimis Smith, Young Tonumaipea, Xavier Coates, Cameron Munster, Jahrome Hughes, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Harry Grant, Christian Welch (c), Elisea Katoa, Trent Loiero, Josh King. B...

Re: Pre season trials 2023
Can't really explain it but I continue to like MacDonald a lot. Warbrick plays like he has no clue what he's doing but the dude is big and strong. If we can get some mongrel into him he's going to be a huge help for us. You’re not alone in that - big fan of MacDonald here too. He has this enthusias...

Re: Pre season trials 2023
First half thoughts: Liked Garlicks game at hooker. Then thought young Geyer offered a bit of spark from the bench replacing him. Pezet, Warbrick and Sua all had their moments. Both good and not so good. Wishart also impressive, still not sure what his best position is though. I think Pezet looks a...

Backing up playing the Bulldogs in round two on the road as well.
Round 6 is apparently against the Roosters in Melbourne.

Re: World Cup Squads
Did anyone catch any of it? Addo-Carr’s combination with Munster is still fairly lethal.
I’d love to see more of that type of linked play with Coates next year.
Grant also played really well and caused all sorts of problems for the Fijian defence with his running.

Re: Official thread and signing news
So should we sign Hasler as an assistant with a view to him taking over from Bellamy? I would’ve supported this a few years back but I think Hasler’s a bit… Odd? I don’t think he’d necessarily stick to a lot of the things Bellamy has found important on building the club on. I also don’t really feel...

Re: Munster calls Melbourne Home
Wayne Bennett now having a world class hissy fit about Munster not personally calling him to say he's not coming (in other words letting Anasta do the job he's paying him to do 🙄). I can’t be alone in thinking this but doesn’t this kind of expose that he was being approached by another club before ...

Re: Munster calls Melbourne Home
Can’t understate how big this is for the club. I think we can all admit the end of this season was underwhelming particularly with suggestions Bellamy’s going to finish up soon. But Munster signing on to stay shows a huge investment and faith in the Storm’s future. It could also potentially hint tha...

You could be asking the same question in two or three years time if someone snatches up Jonah Pezet.Bullucked wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 7:41 pmDid we back the right horse?Shuttlesworth99 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 9:29 pm It makes the Munster signature so much more important considering this is the guy we have let go
I think the right call was made.

Re: Official thread and signing news
Ennis said following Cronulla’s loss last night that the Storm should look into signing Andrew Fifita.
I think I can already guess what everyone’s reaction to that idea on here will be…

Re: Weidler Article on the Brandon Smith Departure in the Age
I’m not really a fan of Weidler either (I’ve met him too while I was working in sports media a few years back during one of the Storm’s GFs) but I think he might be kind of on the ball here. I’m not sure the Roosters is going to be the best move for him given the media attention around the team and ...

Re: Official thread and signing news
As near as I can tell, we have 2 spots for middle forwards available for next year, I wonder if we'd chase someone like Petterson -Robati from the warriors who previously killed it in our juniors and has been close to fg multiple times but not quite cracked it I see Eli Katoa started at lock for th...

Things that don’t work: Jesse Bromwich’s dumb little step he does before contact.
Cameron Munster’s short line drop-outs.
Extremely annoying.
