Re: Storm Team want to stay together
The things is can you even fire them without the money counting in next years cap?
How many players would have get out clauses in their contract? How hard would it be to activate it and re-sign if that was what they wanted to do.

Are you 100% sure about that because 3 days ago I would have said the same.Jacko wrote: Whatever we did, we did within the Salary Cap.

Re: Was Waldron right?
Gallop has implored any player who thinks something dodgy is going on with his payments to come forward to the NRL. And what motivation would they have to do that? I am sure players would love playing for nothing for a whole year. Maybe they can get a new contract and on the way out spill the beans...

You should also make sure you tell them if they dont reign it in you will serioucly be thinking of stopping your subcription to foxtel. Money does talk after all.

Like You Surandy I am being swayed by the sponsors reaction.
I have decided that my next computer (very soon) will be bought from Harvey Norman (despite their expensive prices) all due to them sticking with the club while the others are claiming a moral high ground while they escape.

You are forgetting the AFL tickets that will be going to sale, that is what is going to mess you up. Both games will be played in Melbourne so I expect a big crowd to buy tickets.

It is one game not the end of the world.
Maybe it will give them a kick in the pants to get them playing at their best.

I don't like the thought of catching buses to places I don't know. Either way I am still by myself at night somewhere I don't know.

Re: News -Storm negotiating Dome switch
I can not go to night games at Olympic Park. Being a girl and having to go alone (my brother has moved away this year) I do not feel safe walking from Olympic park to Jolimont station late at night. If it was at Telstra I can go other wise the only games I can get to are if they are on Sunday during...

Re: The Grand Final 2006 - Melbourne Storm Vs Brisbane Broncos
I can not say at least they made the GF when they have played just as good or better in the game but have been robbed of the win by incompetent officials.
I love the commentary. That is a mistake by the ref oh well it doesn’t matter.

Re: Steve Turner STAYING!
Looks like they are saying that they do not agree with the NRL but they can think what they like. Also that they want to wait until Melbournes season is over before they do anything so it does not effect the players. I would love Steve to call their bluff that he plays with Titans or no one. He can ...

Re: Steve Turner STAYING!
If the NRL rules are that contracts must be lodged with them within 10 days then surely the NRL would know if this has happened. Very straight forward, if a signed contract was lodged in keeping with the NRL rules then Steve must honour his contract. According to reports the only signed contract lo...

Re: Titans brand Storm bullies
Gallop already has fully put the weight of the NRL behind the Titans the only thing that need to be done is for the, to officially come out and declare that they will not honor Turners contract with the storm. The only way I can see him at the Storm next year is if it goes through the courts. They a...

Re: Steve Turner STAYING!
From what I understand they are saying that an email from Turners manager is the partially written part of the contract. Meaning that Steve did not sign anything like he has said but that his manager confirmed the verbal agreement that they made. If this is right I don’t know how they can use an ema...

Re: Steve Turner STAYING!
To save face and to not have other players walk out who have had second thoughts and have also not signed a contract yet. Now they way they have acted they have to keep on going on with it because if they had just let Turner go with they would only have looked stupid but people would not care. If th...
